Direct investments in businesses or real estate are typically made to finance growth and/or liquidity for current owners, and may be either control or non-control in nature. Typical investment sizes range from $1 to $5 million in equity, although investments of up to $20 million can be made through established alliances with like-minded investors. The firm’s investment time frame is long term, as Helms Capital is not a private equity fund and does not seek third-party capital.
